How to use VoiceCraft's privacy-first tools. All processing runs in your browser where possible.
Privacy & architecture
VoiceCraft is built by System Logic with a "Local-First" architecture. For the main tools, your audio and text are processed directly in your browser using WebAssembly and modern web APIs. Data is not sent to our servers for transcription or text-to-speech unless you use a feature that explicitly requires it.
- Voice Recorder & transcription: recording and AI transcription run in your browser. Audio stays on your device.
- Text-to-speech: synthesis runs in your browser where supported, without a server round-trip for the main flow.
- Script Editor, Summarizer, Plagiarism Remover, and other text tools: AI runs locally in your browser for the main experience.
- Data retention: we do not store recordings, transcripts, or generated content unless you sign in and choose to save history.
- Security: all traffic to our site is encrypted over HTTPS, and account data is stored securely.
Tool guides
Voice Recorder
Record audio directly in your browser with no time limit.
- Open the Voice Recorder and allow microphone access when prompted.
- Click record to start and click again to stop. You can pause and resume during a session.
- Use Live Transcription to see text as you speak, or transcribe after recording.
- Download the result or save it to history when signed in.
Voice Generator
Convert text into spoken audio in your browser.
- Paste or type your script.
- Choose the voice and playback speed.
- Generate audio and review the result.
- Download the file when you are happy with the output.
Script Editor
Paste your script, choose the right output language and mode, then improve grammar, tone, and readability in a browser-based workflow.
Text Summarizer
Paste long text, choose the output format and target length, then generate a clearer summary for meetings, lectures, or long articles.
VocEmail & specialized tools
Voice notes, podcast notes, meeting minutes, action items, lecture outputs, and other structured tools follow the same pattern: add input, choose the right options, and generate the final result locally in the browser.
Saving work and accounts
Without an account, your work exists only in the current browser session. To keep recordings, transcripts, or generated text across devices and sessions, create a free account and use "Save to History" or the equivalent action in each tool.
You can also export files and copy text at any time if you prefer not to save anything in your account.
